Marketing Calls
The
objective of a marketing call:
- To
get referrals, other job orders and candidate leads
- To
get information to use the next time you call
The
very best Recruiters get a NO seven out
of every ten marketing calls.
Once you get a job order that meets all the criteria of being a Class A or
hot job order.
STOP
THE MARKETING PROCESS!
Stop
the pain. It’s time to fill this hot job order.
Find someone who can do
this job
Low
producing Recruiters send out people and make cold calls.
The top producers fill positions. You
will strive to send three to four people to cover the position.
Most companies will interview three to four candidates. Why
shouldn’t they all be yours? This will increase your
send-outs and cover your marketing calls. Presenting one
candidate and keeping your fingers crossed is not a smart
way to work. Send three, then go back to marketing. Burnout
in our business comes from not wanting to continue to market.
What better way to get send-outs that will lead to a placement?
Filling hot job orders will give you longevity in the business.
Remember, you need to work on what will lead to a placement right
now.
STRUCTURING
YOUR DAY
You
must know yourself. Do you operate well under pressure? If
you don’t, then make the life blood calls presentations
on a job that you know you can get a send-out, leads to get
a job order, follow-up calls and closing calls first thing
in your day. If you do operate well under pressure, then
make your tough marketing and recruiting calls first. You
will then finish your day by making the life blood calls
because you will be able to get up for those
types of calls at the end of the day. You have to he enthusiastic
and focus on these life blood calls. (You will be pretty
tough after getting beat up all day). When you plan, you
need to ask yourself “What is the fastest way to a
send-out?” If you have a hot job order, 50-60% of your
day should be spent recruiting. If you don’t have a
hot job order, then market with your MPC. Once in a while,
if you have an MPC that is so hot and is hotter than your
job order, then market. You will need to be honest with yourself
when you make this decision.
